Community Profile

The Komen Columbus community profile (also called community needs assessment) plays an integral part in applying the core values of the Foundation's presence and work in the Komen Columbus Affiliate's service area.

Breast cancer is a complicated disease; the Foundation cannot possibly attack all of its facets at one time. The community profile is a tool to help determine the areas of most need and focus efforts where the work of the Foundation can have the most significant impact.

The community profile provides direction for the work of Komen Affiliates. It establishes the need for fund raising, a target for community education programs, priorities for funding grants and a guide for decision-making and strategic planning.
