Susan G. Komen for the Cure started 25 years ago as The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation with a promise between two sisters. In this anniversary year, we are shifting into another gear, recommitting to finally, once and for all, finish what we started. We are marking this anniversary year with a renewed and impassioned mission that incorporates a new name and logo, a $1 billion commitment and a host of initiatives designed to support its promise to end breast cancer forever.

Many people know that since 1993, the Columbus Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, "Komen Columbus," has been bringing our community together in the fight against breast cancer at our signature event, Race for the Cure® . What many may NOT know is that behind the Race for the Cure® are the year-round efforts of Komen Columbus and our national organization Susan G. Komen for the Cure to provide breast cancer research, education screening and treatment.

Komen Columbus is all about making more information available to you. We want you to know we are here for you. We encourage you to browse, explore and learn about breast cancer on our website.
